In Spain, there are several pastimes. Some pastimes that teenagers might enjoy are sports and action. Why sports and action? Well during the summer, teenagers play adventurous sports. Some of these sports are canoeing, rafting, and even climbing. Some people love to go for swims in Valencia. When the kids want to play sports in the winter, the mountains that they used to climb on are now used for skiing and snowboarding. Teenagers in Valencia Spain can also surf. Then to the sound of bells, these people dressed up as people from the bible parade around a designated route. Easter is celebrated in a lively and festive mood. A week following Easter, the Valencianos gathers once again to pay homage to San Vicente Ferrer, their patron saint. The home of San Vicente Ferrer was turned into a museum and is the center of attention during the events. Outside of the altar with a portrait of a saint, a ceremony is held where flowers are held and offered. During the feasts, the street altars will serve as a stage for the children below the age of 13 performing many miracles of the San Vicente in the city. There you will see the talents of the children. In honor of Virgen de los Desamparados, the lady of the forsaken, a concert is held at the plaza E la Virgen and fireworks are displayed. The feast of Virgen de la Salud, other known as the feast of good health, held in mid-summer allows the visitors to see a little acrobatics. These four events sum up the holy week in the Roman catholic religion, which is the main religion. In Valencia you can see the Valencia cathedral which was built in the 13th century. It was built on a mosque which is a place of worship that has strict requirements. The architecture of the building has multiple styles and a few designs. The outside of the Cathedral looks gothic. The gothic looking area on the cathedral has many religious artistic treasures inscribed in it. The Goya paintings are both (2 of them) interesting sites to look at. The biggest treasure is supposedly in the Valencia Cathedral. That treasure is a chalice (like a Goblet), the chalice is called Santo Caliz. The Santo Caliz is also called the Holy Grail. The Holy Grail is supposed to be the cup used by Jesus at the last supper. It was hidden and it has been in the cathedral since 1437.

Every day in Valencia there are jazz bars where they play live music. In the recent years this city of 800,000 had an infusion of new sounds. It was the Pinnacle of Valencian music. A new “music scene has developed with the cities students the words students. More and more artist is popping up. This city has become more vital than it was 5 years ago because of music. Contemporary music also involves a bit of influence from traditional music. Some places you can visit to experience some of this music are “El Asesino” , “Lococlub”, “Juanita Club”, and Jimmy Glass Jazz Bar. They all play their own types that they like. “El Asesino” plays rock and roll. “Lococlub” plays blues and jazz”. “Juanita club” plays live reggae. “Jimmy Glass Jazz Bar” plays jazz and is good for jazz lovers.
